Ed graduated with honors from Trinity College of Music studying with Sophie Grimmer and Omar Ebrahim. 

 

Although his teaching commitments prevent him from regular performances, Edwin has extensive experience as an opera and choral singer, he has sung with Opera Holland Park for several seasons, Raymond Gubbay's production of Carmen at the O2 and worked with Opera de Bauge for many years singing chorus, roles and covers. Outside of opera he was cantor for St Jame's West Hampstead for over a decade and still works as a regular deputy in many of London's churches and cathedrals.

 

Roles and highlights include Fernando Viyebella in Rossini's Thieving Magpie (Sung in English for Midland Opera), Ramfis (Cover) for South Downs Opera's production of Aida. The Mikado and The Pirate King in Opera Anywhere's tour of The Mikado and The Pirates of Penzance, Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas for The Chelys Consort and Le Dancaire in Opera de Bauge's production of Carmen.
