Educator

Ed has 20 years of experience in singing teaching and performance, he studied at Trinity College of Music and has been awarded the  Licentiate of the Royal School's of Music in Singing. He specialises in working with gifted young performers and professionals, helping them to gain the solid and safe technique necessary for life in the professional music world with vocal health central to his teaching. 

Alongside his classical studio, Ed is experienced in working with triple threat performers and is currently Singing Teacher at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts having previously taught at the Royal Ballet School. He works with Buckinghamshire Music Trust and taught at Stowe School for five years. He is also passionate about engaging boys in singing, working with them as they undergo voice change and has led workshops and spoken at conferences.

Many of his students are currently working in West End shows and talented younger performers have gone on to study at conservatoires/drama school, gain choral scholarships, gain places in the National Youth Choir and scholarships to specialist, music and dance scheme, schools. Outside of direct teaching he is an examiner for Trinity College London, frequently taking on tours worldwide. 

Edwin is a passionate advocate of music education and is currently Chair of for the Association of Teachers of Singing, having previously been Chair Elect (2020 - 2022) and South East Area Co-ordinator since (2016 - 2020). He also works with young teacher and acts as a mentor to young teaching professionals as they they begin their teaching journey. He has been invited to write articles for Classical Music and The Singer magazine and is a regular contributor to The Association of Teachers of Singing newsletter and magazines.
